Sri Vishnu has worked as a Principal Data Scientist for healthcare companies, including “M & S Biotics”.

M & S Biotics, Inc. is a venture-backed medical device company that developed the “Smart Table”, an IoT device capable of detecting, tracking, counting, and locating surgical items inside the operating room in real time. This innovation not only automates the surgical count but also tracks instrument utilization to better optimize surgical sets. The company is the first startup in the U.S to partner with Johnson and Johnson’s Center for Device Innovation and has an international footprint.

Sri Vishnu worked on a Data Science Project with the goal of “Predicting the Quantity of an Instrument from an Instrument Set that a doctor would likely use for a Procedure which he had not performed before based on the history of different Instruments used by him in different procedures before”. This predicted quantity can be used by M&S Biotics when planning to distribute the instruments to the doctor for a procedure, serving as a cost-cutting measure by providing only the necessary number of instruments.

He employed Data Science Procedures like the Bootstrapping Method and Machine Learning Algorithms like Unsupervised Clustering Algorithm to achieve the results. The project was developed using R language and its libraries. A dashboard was created using Shiny App in R language to showcase the project results, which was later deployed in the cloud.

In addition, Sri Vishnu developed a Full Stack Web Application for reading data from RFID Sensor Instruments. The technologies used include Python, MongoDB, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Flask and its libraries, and Microsoft Azure.
